En Plein Air:
Painting outside in the elements from observation is my newest found joy. After enrolling in a class at Washburn University during the summer of 2010 called, "Art of the Landscape," I quickly found that working outside is a completely different kind of rewarding experience in comparison to studio work. The first time I went out brought back memories of going hunting or camping as there were plenty of preparations and much busy work that had to be addressed before I could even think of putting paint on a canvas.
